How to build pagerank for your Stumbleupon pages
My Stumbleupon blog (Stoush) now has a pagerank of 4. OK, maybe that’s not mindblowing, until you realize that I only started it in March, and that even my oldest sites only have a page rank of 3.
So how does your Stumbleupon blog get its pagerank? From your friends and fans.
- The first page of a Stumbleupon blog shows a few people the Stumbler is a fan of, in the order in which they last came online.
- The first page links to the Friends page, which links to a number of people who the Stumble is a fan of, and a number of their own fans, again in the order in which they last came online.
- The friends page links to full lists of the Stumbler’s friends and fans
So you can build pagerank by having the maximum number of friends (200) plus an unlimited number of fans. The more friends and fans, the higher your Stumble blog’s pagerank.
Start by building a few pages that will be interesting to your future friends and fans.
Over time, friend 200 people who have similar Stumble blogs, and be sure to write a review of each one.
Keep building interesting pages and the fans will come!
